Why three apps rather than one
A single app serving clients, staff and the owner has to decide on every screen who is looking at it, and the usual result is that everyone sees a version of someone else’s job with their own buried inside it. Splitting them means each person opens straight onto their own part of the business, and none of the three has to be taught what to ignore.
It also settles the permissions question at the front door instead of in a settings menu. A client cannot see the takings, and a stylist sees their own earnings and their own diary rather than everyone’s, because those are different applications rather than different toggles inside one.
All three write to the same records. A booking made by a client in the Member app is on the staff member’s day in TEAM and in the owner’s numbers in Office immediately — nobody is working from a copy, and there is no sync step to forget.
A studio app is not the same thing as a marketplace app
Most booking platforms give clients an app, and it is worth being clear about which kind. Fresha, Booksy and Mindbody run consumer marketplaces: the app is theirs, it lists many businesses, and it is a discovery channel you appear inside — which can genuinely bring you new clients, and also puts your regulars in a shop window full of your competitors.
The LABÉAU Member app is the other kind. It is a client app for your business, with no marketplace and no listings for anyone else, so it does nothing to help a stranger find you and everything to make rebooking effortless for the people who already come. Choosing between the two models is a real decision, and the honest answer is that a new business usually wants discovery while an established one usually wants the relationship kept private.
What you can do without installing anything
Everything. LABÉAU runs in a browser on any device, and the apps are a convenience rather than the product — a front desk generally works on a tablet or a laptop in the browser, and the apps matter most for the people who are not standing at it.
The one place the distinction bites is the owner’s Windows machine: LABÉAU Office has a desktop build that is sent on request rather than published to a store, and a macOS build exists but is not being handed out yet. On either, signing in on the web gives you the same thing today.

Yes. LABÉAU (Member) for clients and LABÉAU TEAM for staff are both free on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. LABÉAU Office, the owner app, is still in review on iOS — on an iPhone today, owners can sign in at labeaupos.com in Safari, where everything the apps do also works. All three Android builds are live and free on Google Play.
Yes, all three are free to install from Google Play. They are not standalone products, though: signing in needs an existing LABÉAU account, which comes with a subscription from RM174.92/month. There is a 30-day free trial and a free self-serve demo you can start in minutes without a card.
LABÉAU TEAM. It shows a staff member their own day, their own bookings and their own earnings and commission without going through the owner or the front desk. Clients use the LABÉAU Member app to book and check package balances, and owners use LABÉAU Office for branches, approvals, stock and reporting.
No. Clients can book on the web, through a WhatsApp link, or from your own booking page without installing anything. The Member app is for regulars who book often enough that having it on the home screen is worth it — and it is a client app for your business rather than a marketplace like Fresha, Booksy or Mindbody, so it never shows them another salon.
LABÉAU Office has a Windows desktop build, distributed directly on request rather than through a store — ask and it is sent. A macOS build exists but is not being handed out yet. On either platform, signing in at labeaupos.com gives the same functionality in the meantime.
