It depends on e-invoicing and plan fit. Idle is cheaper to start and has a WhatsApp AI agent, but says it does not submit to MyInvois. LABÉAU has LHDN MyInvois and IRAS InvoiceNow built in, with packages, memberships and tiered commission on every plan from RM174.92/month.

LABÉAU vs Idle vs Aoikumo vs Tunai: salon and clinic software for Malaysia
These four come up together because they are the systems Malaysian owners most often shortlist, and they are genuinely different products: a WhatsApp-first newcomer, a clinic platform, a low-cost local POS and an all-in-one operations system. We make one of them, so read this as a vendor’s comparison — every figure below is from each company’s own site, dated, so you can check it.
Quick answer
Idle is the cheapest to start (from RM59/month per store) and leads with a WhatsApp AI agent, but says it does not submit to MyInvois. TunaiPro is the low-cost local salon POS (from about RM2.30 a day) with LHDN auto-submit. Aoikumo is built for medical aesthetics, priced per outlet per year (from RM2,680), with EMR on its clinical plan and ISO 27001. LABÉAU is a flat monthly price from RM174.92 with LHDN MyInvois and IRAS InvoiceNow built in, packages, memberships and tiered commission on every plan, unlimited WhatsApp reminders and 12 interface languages — for salons, spas and clinics that want one system without clinical records.

The short version
Idle: a modern, low-cost booking and POS platform whose WhatsApp AI agent books clients in your calendar. Best for a small salon below the MyInvois threshold. It does not submit e-invoices.
TunaiPro: an affordable Malaysian salon POS with tiered commission, packages, WhatsApp reminders and broadcasts and LHDN auto-submit. Best for a single outlet where price decides.
Aoikumo: a regional platform for medical aesthetics, with EMR, prescriptions and telehealth on its clinical plan and ISO 27001. Best when the clinical record is the business.
LABÉAU: salon, spa and clinic operations in one system, with LHDN and IRAS e-invoicing, packages, memberships and tiered commission on every plan, WhatsApp plus LINE, KakaoTalk, Viber and Zalo, and 12 interface languages. Best for growing salons, multi-outlet groups and mixed beauty and wellness businesses.
E-invoicing: what each one actually does
This is where the four differ most, and where published comparisons are often vague. LABÉAU issues individual validated e-invoices and consolidated walk-in e-invoices to LHDN MyInvois from checkout on every plan, and IRAS InvoiceNow for a Singapore branch. TunaiPro lists LHDN e-invoice auto-submit. Aoikumo files LHDN e-invoices; its e-invoicing has been reported as a separate per-outlet add-on, so check the line on any quote. Idle’s own pricing FAQ says it does not submit to MyInvois.
Whether that matters depends on you. Since 1 September 2026 an independently owned Malaysian business below RM3 million in annual turnover is exempt from e-invoicing. Above that line, in a group with a related company above it, or with a Singapore branch, it is not optional — and a system that submits from the till saves a monthly job.
WhatsApp: agents, reminders and campaigns
All four use WhatsApp, in different ways. Idle’s AI agent answers questions and books, reschedules and cancels inside WhatsApp, with 1,000 free replies a month. TunaiPro sends reminders and broadcasts. Aoikumo sends reminders and birthday messages. LABÉAU sends unlimited confirmations and reminders on every plan and marketing campaigns from Gold, and also integrates LINE, KakaoTalk, Viber and Zalo for clients and staff who are not on WhatsApp.
Price: what a year costs for one outlet
Idle: RM588 a year on Solo or RM2,508 on Grow, per store; packages, memberships, inventory and commissions need Grow. WhatsApp replies beyond 1,000 a month and outbound messages are billed at Meta’s rates.
TunaiPro: from about RM840 a year (RM2.30 a day), scaling with outlet size and features; quoted after a demo.
Aoikumo: RM2,680 a year per outlet on GROW, RM5,380 on AESTHETICS, RM6,680 on MEDICAL AESTHETICS; no refunds on annual plans.
LABÉAU: about RM2,100 a year on Silver (RM174.92 a month on a 12-month plan), RM3,300 on Gold, with no staff cap and MyInvois included.

The bottom line
There is no single best choice among the four — there is a best choice for your business. Idle for a small, WhatsApp-led salon under the e-invoicing threshold; TunaiPro for the lowest local price at one outlet; Aoikumo when you need clinical records; LABÉAU when you want salon, spa or clinic operations with e-invoicing, packages and commission in one system that grows with you.

Frequently asked questions
Of these four, LABÉAU (built in, every plan), TunaiPro (auto-submit) and Aoikumo (reported as an add-on) handle LHDN e-invoicing. Idle states that it does not submit to MyInvois. Remember that independently owned businesses under RM3 million turnover are exempt since 1 September 2026.
If you need EMR, prescriptions or telehealth, Aoikumo’s MEDICAL AESTHETICS plan covers them and LABÉAU does not. If your clinic runs mainly on treatments, packages, commission and bookings, LABÉAU is simpler and priced as a flat monthly plan rather than per outlet per year.
Idle Solo at RM59 a month per store is the cheapest headline price, followed by TunaiPro from about RM2.30 a day. Compare the plan that includes what you need: on Idle, packages and commission need Grow at RM229 a month, and LABÉAU includes them from RM174.92.
